Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa has stated that Kylian Mbappé is expected to be ready for the second leg of the UEFA Champions League match against Manchester City.
The French star is currently recovering from a knee injury and will not play this week against Elche CF, but Arbeloa expressed confidence that the French forward will travel to Manchester for the decisive round of 16 clash in Europe’s elite club competition.
“It is not a difficult situation; he is improving every day and the progress is going according to the plan we made when we decided to stop him and carry out the tests. He is doing very well,” Arbeloa said.
“He will not be available tomorrow, but we are confident that he will be ready to travel to Manchester,” he added.
