Real Madrid coach, Álvaro Arbeloa, has stated that no player in his squad receives special treatment.
This contradicts the narrative that has surrounded the Madrid club this season, while he also added that he is not in a position to give advice to his counterpart, Pep Guardiola.
One of the main topics this season at Real Madrid has been the perception that star players receive special treatment at the “Bernabéu,” as well as the growing dissatisfaction among fans regarding the power that players are believed to hold within the club. However, Arbeloa denied this.
“What all the youngsters from the academy are doing is performing at a very high level; they are playing very well, which is something they know how to do. They are very talented boys who are contributing a lot. When some players recover, I will have more options, and I hope we can always choose the most suitable starting eleven,” he said.
The last three matches have also shown a more offensive version of Federico Valverde, who has contributed five goals to the team.
However, Arbeloa wants him to maintain the same rhythm even when the team has more attacking options.
“Fede can play in any position and does very well everywhere. He is in his best form and is scoring goals. He has freedom of movement. When Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé return, we must continue with this version of Fede,” he added.
