Dominik Szoboszlai, the master of free kicks

Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool’s midfielder, is once again proving that he is a master of free kicks, this time scoring against Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool FC are facing Tottenham in Matchweek 30 of the Premier League, a very important clash for both teams.

The Reds are fighting for a place in the spots that lead to European competitions, while Spurs are aiming to improve their position in the standings.

In the 19th minute of the match, the deadlock was broken thanks to a beautiful free-kick goal from Szoboszlai. The Hungarian struck the ball precisely, leaving goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario with no chance to react. Vicario tried to stop the ball, but without success.

This was Szoboszlai’s fourth direct free-kick goal this season in the Premier League, making him the first Liverpool player to score that many goals from free kicks in a single season in the competition.

Only David Beckham in the 2000/01 season and Laurent Robert in the 2001/02 season have scored more, with five free-kick goals each.

Szoboszlai has also faced some difficulties at Liverpool this season, as he has often been played away from his natural midfield position. Due to several absences in the squad, coach Arne Slot has even used him as a right-back in some matches.
