“I started as a goalkeeper,” Šeško reveals his amusing career journey before becoming a Manchester United striker
Benjamin Šeško has spoken openly about his unusual path to becoming a striker, revealing in the latest episode of Manchester United’s Inside Carrington that he began his football career as a goalkeeper before changing position out of boredom.

The Slovenian forward, who came off the bench to score the equaliser in stoppage time in Tuesday’s 1–1 draw against West Ham United, described his development from goalkeeper to centre-back and eventually to the attacking line.
“I started as a goalkeeper when I was very young. But then, in one match, I remember seeing my father in the middle of the game and telling him: ‘Dad, this is really boring. I have nothing to do in goal,’” Šeško said.
