Within the next few weeks, Luka Modrić is expected to officially inform AC Milan about his future plans regarding his career.
His former national teammate and close friend, Ivan Rakitić, has shared his thoughts on the possibility of Modrić staying for another season in Serie A.
“What if Modrić plays one more year with Milan? Just one? From my point of view, he could stay for at least two or three more seasons,” said the 37-year-old, emphasizing the Croatian’s extraordinary ability to maintain a high level.
Rakitić was also asked whether it surprises him that Modrić, three years older than him, continues to perform at such high levels.
“Honestly, no. Luka is different from everyone else. He has an incredible passion and physically he still looks young,” the midfielder said.
