Klopp requests four new players at Real Madrid and also confirms the stars who must leave

Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is reportedly said to have drawn up his wish list if he takes charge of Real Madrid next season. The German has not held a managerial role since leaving Liverpool in the summer of 2024.

Los Blancos are currently overseen by former defender Álvaro Arbeloa, but results under the Spaniard have been inconsistent, despite the club defeating Benfica in the knockout stage to reach the Champions League Round of 16.

They come off a disappointing 1–0 home defeat to Getafe in La Liga on Monday, leaving them four points behind league leaders Barcelona with 12 matches remaining.

As speculation over Arbeloa’s long-term future increases, according to Football 365, Red Bull’s Director of Football Klopp has emerged as a strong candidate to succeed him.

According to reports in the Spanish media, the German has requested four departures and an equal number of new signings, including Rodri, who is reportedly considered a “non-negotiable” transfer.

Fran García, Dani Ceballos, Franco Mastantuono, and David Alaba are reported to be the four players set to leave.

As for new signings, besides Rodri, Klopp would also like to target Borussia Dortmund centre-back Nico Schlotterbeck, Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha, and Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, who is also a target for Liverpool.

However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Klopp is “fully committed” to his current role at Red Bull and there have been “no direct negotiations” from the Madrid board to bring the German to the club.
