Laporta “confirms” Lewandowski’s departure, Juventus and Milan go on the attack

The future of Robert Lewandowski at Barcelona is under discussion, with a departure now more likely than him staying. The Polish striker is expected to leave the Catalan club, based on the latest statement from president Joan Laporta, who hinted that Harry Kane could be signed.

“He is the same age as Lewandowski was when we signed him,” Laporta said when asked about the possible replacement for the Polish forward.

Despite the desire to keep Lewandowski — “if he wants, he can stay,” especially after he has accepted rotation with Ferran Torres — Barcelona’s president has not ruled out drastic moves in the transfer market if Lewandowski decides to change teams.

Laporta wants to invest in a high-caliber profile such as Bayern’s English striker Kane, considering him the ideal successor to Lewandowski in terms of age and characteristics.

This stance from the Catalan president fuels the hopes of Juventus and Milan to sign Lewandowski. The two Italian clubs have been targeting him for some time and are now expected to intensify their efforts to secure his signature.
