Nico Paz has been shining with Como this season, and the Argentine is expected to return to Real Madrid in the summer.
Como are flying under the guidance of Cesc Fàbregas, with the Azzurri consistently among the contenders for a European spot in the 2025–26 season.
Their results have been more than impressive, despite a recent 4–0 away defeat to Inter. Another factor to consider, even in online betting, is that Como are particularly dangerous at home, where they have collected 15 points from seven matches, remaining unbeaten with four wins and three draws.

Reliable Italian sources, including Alfredo Pedullà of Football Italia, report that Paz is destined to return to the Spanish capital in the 2026–27 season.
Nico Paz has scored five goals and provided five assists in his first 14 Serie A matches this season, contributing to at least one goal in seven games.
With these statistics, it is no surprise that the 21-year-old has been among the three highest-rated players in the league during the first half of the season, according to the average ratings of Italian sports newspapers (via Fantacalcio).
Como and Serie A fans will continue to watch Paz in action until the end of the 2025–26 season, as a return to Madrid during the January transfer window is not planned.
“There is nothing to say; he is a Como player and he will stay with us,” Fàbregas said at a press conference at the end of November.
“Then it depends on what the other club decides. I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of Nico staying next season as well. He is ambitious and can have a great career in football, but why not build it here at Como? He has helped us grow, and we have helped him grow. You can see it. You can tell from a person’s eyes whether they are happy, and I think he is happy here right now,” he added.
Nico Paz was named Serie A’s “Young Player of the Month” for both August and September 2025, meaning the best under-23 player in the league for the first two months of the current season.
Whether his performances will lead Como to a European place this season remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Nico Paz is destined to return to Real Madrid sooner or later.
