The news has been confirmed by the English club itself through an official statement on social media:
“Manchester City are pleased to confirm the signing of Antoine Semenyo from AFC Bournemouth.
Semenyo: City can take my game to another level
The 26-year-old has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract, which will see him remain at the Etihad Stadium until 2031,” the Citizens’ statement reads.
Born in London to Ghanaian parents, Semenyo began his professional career at Bristol City, but also had loan spells at Bath City, Newport County, and Sunderland, where he continued to develop his skills.
After impressing at Ashton Gate, Bournemouth recognised his potential and brought him to the Premier League midway through the 2022/23 season, from where his career has continued to grow stronger ever since.
