Real Madrid and Arsenal are set to battle each other for Bayer Leverkusen’s “€100 million man.”

One of the most promising talents in the Bundesliga has caught the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs and could be on the verge of a career-defining transfer.

The player in question is Christian Kofani (19), a name not yet widely known, but considered a “diamond” discovered by Bayer Leverkusen.

The Cameroonian forward joined Leverkusen for just €5.25 million from Albacete. Prior to his move to Albacete, he had not played a single minute of professional football, but quickly made an impact, scoring eight goals in Spain’s second division.

Currently valued at around €40 million, Kofani has also delivered impressive performances in the UEFA Champions League, attracting interest from clubs such as Arsenal and Real Madrid.

After an adaptation period in Germany, he has transformed from an important substitute into a regular starter, beginning 10 of his 27 matches, including 5 of the last 7.

He has recorded 5 goals and 4 assists in the Bundesliga, ranking among the most productive teenagers in Europe.

What sets Kofani apart is not only his scoring ability, but also his physical strength and the way he creates space for his teammates. He is considered a rare player due to his intensity in duels and his intelligent movement, which goes beyond his age.

Leverkusen are expected to demand around €60–70 million for his transfer this summer, a figure that may deter some clubs due to his limited experience.

Nevertheless, the interest remains high.

In addition to Real Madrid, Bayern Munich are also closely monitoring him, while several Premier League clubs are keeping an eye on the situation. His agent, Eric Debolo, has confirmed Arsenal’s interest, also mentioning coach Mikel Arteta as a great admirer of the player.

“Yes, Arsenal’s interest is real. Arteta likes him a lot and we have direct contact. He is a €100 million player and with him, Arsenal would have a top-level striker for the next 10 years.”

He added that Kofani is currently one of the most complete under-21 forwards in Europe, highlighting his speed, technique, defensive contribution, and aerial ability.

Bayer Leverkusen continue to fight for a place in European competitions this season, but Kofani could be the next talent the club sells for a massive fee.
