Real Madrid are looking to sign a defender and a midfielder in 2026, but a new winger could also be on the agenda.
The possible departure of Rodrygo Goes, which has been the subject of speculation, would open the door for a replacement, and the club’s executives have already identified a potential candidate.
Real Madrid have shown that they are willing to spend large sums on players who improve the squad, and this would also be the case with Michael Olise.
The French international has been a sensation at Bayern Munich and could now have the opportunity to make the right-wing position at the Bernabéu his own.
Christian Falk has confirmed Real Madrid’s interest in Olise; however, he sees little chance of a deal being completed in 2026.
“Michael Olise is on the list of several European clubs. In addition to Real Madrid, we can also add Manchester City. Pep Guardiola, as we know, would be very happy to complete this transfer. However, Bayern Munich are a buying club, not a selling one. So if they don’t want to sell, they won’t sell. And Olise is undoubtedly one of the talents they do not want to let go. This season has shown in particular that both Harry Kane and Michael Olise are irreplaceable for the team,” he said.
“He already has a long-term contract at the Allianz Arena, and don’t forget that Bayern Munich are working hard to offer him even more money with an updated contract (which also includes an additional year). So, for now, this means no chance for Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, and we can add many more to that list,” he added.
It is well known that Real Madrid do not have a natural right winger in Xabi Alonso’s squad.
Rodrygo, Franco Mastantuono and Brahim Díaz have all played in that position this season, but it would make sense for the club to sign a specialist as soon as possible — even if it is not Olise.
