His season is now over after the Brazilian suffered a ligament tear in the match against Getafe CF.
His return is expected at the beginning of next season.
After the operation, he posted an emotional message on his page for his fans and the supporters of the Madrid club.
“Today a new story begins. A new Rodrygo has been born. I am ready to go through this entire process and experience God’s blessings in my life.”
“Very grateful for every message of love. Thank God, everything went well with the surgery,” he wrote.
