Portuguese coach José Mourinho does not rule out the possibility of a return to Real Madrid.
In his current contract with Benfica, there is a clause that could facilitate his move to the “Santiago Bernabéu” once the current season comes to an end.
Tomorrow (Tuesday), starting at 9:00 PM, Benfica and Real Madrid will face each other at the “Estádio da Luz” in the first leg of the Champions League play-off, thus opening the battle to reach the round of 16 of Europe’s top club competition

.
This encounter has reignited speculation linking Mourinho with the club from Chamartín. According to the newspaper AS, although his contract with Benfica runs until June 2027, it includes a mechanism that could make his departure next summer easier. If, within ten days after Benfica’s final match of the season, a club manages to convince Mourinho, he would be able to terminate his contract without any financial compensation obligation.
In principle, Mourinho wishes to remain at Benfica, but it is clear that a phone call from the Chamartín side could change everything.
Naturally, this potential call will depend on the results Real Madrid achieve by the end of the season.
