The European transfer market is beginning to heat up, with reports directly linking the offices of Stamford Bridge to Barcelona.

Chelsea have set their sights on Ferran Torres, the versatile Spanish forward who is currently enjoying a very strong goalscoring spell in La Liga.

The London club’s sporting directors are urgently searching for a reference point in the penalty area to complement the explosiveness of young talents such as Cole Palmer and Estevao. With the end of the 2025/26 season on the horizon, strategic moves to secure elite players have become an absolute priority. The English side are preparing a financial offer that could reach up to €80 million in an attempt to convince the Catalan board to part ways with their player.

Ferran is at a key moment in his contract, as his current deal with Barcelona expires in the summer of 2027. Chelsea firmly believe that the promise of undisputed starter status will be the decisive factor in completing the transfer of the Spanish international.

Unlike his current role, in England he would be guaranteed the position of central striker in a highly offensive system.

Chelsea’s current head coach, Liam Rosenior, has declared himself a great admirer of the Spanish footballer’s tactical abilities. He particularly values his natural aggressiveness in exploiting open spaces, his ease in link-up play, and his ability to operate effectively on the wings as well.
