Federico Valverde is known as a footballer with an extremely powerful shot, especially from distance, where he has often scored spectacular goals.
The Real Madrid midfielder revealed that the power of his shot once caused an injury to former youth team goalkeeper Luca Zidane.
“I’ve injured a few goalkeepers. I injured Luca Zidane’s shoulder. I wanted to die because I thought I would be kicked out [of Real Madrid] for injuring Zidane’s son.”

“Some goalkeepers have been injured by my shots—mostly in the shoulder. I have very thin legs, so I don’t even know where all that power comes from,” Valverde told Terapia Picante.
The 27-year-old Uruguayan joined Real Madrid from Peñarol in 2016 for €5 million.
Meanwhile, Luca Zidane, a product of Real Madrid’s youth academy, played for the club until October 2020. The 27-year-old goalkeeper, who represents Algeria, currently plays for Granada.
