The 2026 World Cup has confirmed all 48 national teams as well as the final group draw for the tournament, which will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Sweden, Iraq, and the Democratic Republic of Congo are the six latest teams to secure qualification through the play-off stage. Notably, Italy has been eliminated, meaning the Azzurri will miss a third consecutive World Cup.
In Group A, the Czech Republic joins Mexico, South Africa, and South Korea. Bosnia and Herzegovina will play in Group B alongside Canada, Qatar, and Switzerland. In Group D, Turkey joins the USA, Paraguay, and Australia, while Sweden will compete against the Netherlands, Japan, and Tunisia in Group F.
Iraq returns to the World Cup after 40 years, joining Group I with France, Senegal, and Norway. Meanwhile, the Democratic Republic of Congo will be part of Group K, where it will face Portugal, Uzbekistan, and Colombia.
This will be the first “XXL” World Cup, featuring 48 teams divided into 12 groups. Unfortunately, Albania and Kosovo were eliminated in the play-off stage.
