Barcelona recorded a 4–1 home victory over Villarreal in Matchday 26 of La Liga.
Barcelona started the game at a high tempo, and the first goal came in the 28th minute when Lamine Yamal took advantage of a perfect pass from Fermin to send the ball into the bottom-left corner of the net, making it 1–0 for the hosts.
Five minutes before the end of the first half, Yamal scored again in the 37th minute, this time after a brilliant individual move, extending the lead to 2–0 and showcasing his immense potential.
The second half brought a response from Villarreal, and in the 49th minute, Pape Gueye capitalized on confusion inside the penalty area to reduce the deficit to 2–1.
However, Barcelona managed the game well and, with several key substitutions — including the introduction of Marcus Rashford and Ronald Araujo — maintained their advantage.
In the 69th minute, Lamine Yamal practically sealed the victory with Barcelona’s third goal, after an excellent pass left him one-on-one with Villarreal’s goalkeeper, making it 3–1.
The final touch to the match was provided by Robert Lewandowski, who scored in the 92nd minute to make it 4–1 following an assist from Jules Kounde.
Barcelona remain leaders in La Liga with 64 points, four more than second-placed Real Madrid, who have 60 points and will play against Getafe on Monday.
