Poem by Sherife Allko

DON’T NAIL THE KISS

I haven’t kissed your lips yet.
While the world is built “with rose petals”.

Every day I pull the thread of your heart woven into invisible fabric,
Unraveling the silent promise,
made long ago.

Maybe this is my last prayer,
to kiss your lips.
I will seek it without hesitation,
in the deep pockets of heaven.

And a soul that loves,
don’t see it as fading in your eyes.
Give me that kiss, the devil will eat it,
don’t nail it!
Because the end of the world is not coming,
on the contrary, the world will flourish.
