The consequences of the devastating fire in Crans-Montana continue to resonate across the country: starting April 1, a nationwide ban on the use of fireworks in public spaces will come into effect.
The tragedy during the New Year’s celebration there claimed dozens of lives. The decision was made by the inter-cantonal agreement body of construction directors from all 26 cantons, reports albinfo.ch.
This ban is considered an immediate measure following the Crans-Montana fire and will remain in effect until the full revision of fire safety regulations comes into force.
