This match was initially scheduled to kick off at 20:30, but the change in kickoff time came due to strong winds in Istanbul and expected rainfall in the evening.
With less than two hours remaining until the start of the match, a major clash has already broken out between the fans.
The two groups of supporters confronted each other near the stadium, and law enforcement forces had to intervene to prevent the situation from escalating further.
It is worth noting that the final will be played at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium, and the main referee will be Halil Umut Meler.
The last time these two teams faced each other this season was in the 14th round of the Turkish Super League.
That match ended without a winner, as both teams drew 1–1, with Leroy Sané scoring for Galatasaray and Leroy Sané scoring for Fenerbahçe.
