Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali has become a target for three of the biggest Premier League clubs, but Newcastle United continue to value him highly, and the asking price could prevent a transfer from materializing.
According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United are all in the race to sign Sandro Tonali this summer.
Schira adds that Newcastle are asking for around £100 million (€115 million) for the midfielder, who had previously been approached by Arsenal in February. Last month, the journalist reported that Arsenal are pushing hard to sign Tonali and have offered him a lucrative deal until 2031 to convince him.
However, a transfer remains complicated because Newcastle are demanding £100 million and are reluctant to sell him.
Tonali has attracted major interest thanks to his dominant performances in midfield—a position that Manchester United, in particular, lacks depth in.
