Real Madrid have begun preparations for the summer transfer window, and one deal is already considered completed.
The “Los Blancos” management will have the opportunity to activate several buy-back clauses, with the first one expected to be executed as soon as July arrives.
The most important case is that of Nico Paz.
The 21-year-old has been outstanding at Como since his transfer in 2024, and although the club decided not to activate the clause last summer, this time it is almost certain to happen.
According to Diario AS, Real Madrid have already decided to bring Paz back, reports Gazeta Express.
As soon as the window to activate the clause opens, the club plans to act immediately.
As part of the agreement with Como in 2024, Real Madrid retained three buy-back clauses.
The first, worth €8 million, expired last summer, while the second—around €9 million—is expected to be activated this summer.
For a player who has scored 10 goals and provided 6 assists in Serie A this season, this is considered a very favorable deal, especially as he is now also a regular member of the Argentina national team.
The only way Paz would not return to the “Bernabéu” is if he personally informs the club that he does not wish to come back.
However, this is not expected to happen, and for that reason, the club’s management has already begun preparations for his return.
This summer is expected to be very important for Paz.
He is likely to be included in Argentina’s squad for the 2026 World Cup in North America, and after the tournament, he is expected to return permanently to Real Madrid.
It will be interesting to see how he adapts upon his return, although for now his focus remains on Como.
