Perched high above the Sûre River valley, Bourscheid Castle stands as the largest castle in Luxembourg and one of its most impressive historical landmarks. Dating back to around the year 1000, the fortress was strategically built to oversee the surrounding region and protect important routes through the Ardennes.
With its massive stone walls, towers, and panoramic views, the castle offers visitors a glimpse into medieval life and military architecture. Over the centuries, it was expanded and reinforced, reaching its peak during the late Middle Ages.
