Yamal Opens Up About Childhood Sacrifices: My Parents Did Everything They Could for Me

Barcelona star and one of the brightest young talents in world football, Lamine Yamal, has spoken about the hardships of his childhood and the sacrifices made by his parents, emphasizing that much of his success today is thanks to his family.

In an interview with El País during Spain’s FIFA World Cup training camp, the 18-year-old reflected on the early memories that connect him to football’s biggest tournament.

He revealed that his first World Cup memory dates back to 2014, when he watched the Colombia vs. Uruguay match with his mother.

The young footballer stressed that his success is the result of years of hard work and sacrifice, adding that everything he has achieved in his career has been earned through dedication.

“Everything I have today, I earned by playing football. Nobody gave it to me, and I didn’t inherit anything,” Yamal said.

He also added that, despite the advice of others, he believes everyone should enjoy the rewards of their own hard work and live with the results they have earned.

Yamal also spoke about the financial struggles his family faced while he was growing up, expressing deep gratitude for his parents’ commitment.
