Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique believes one of his players deserves to win the Ballon d’Or this year.
The 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony is expected to take place on October 26 in London, and several names have already been mentioned as potential winners.
Kylian Mbappé, Lamine Yamal and Harry Kane have been considered the main favourites for the prestigious individual award, but PSG manager Luis Enrique has a different view.
According to the Spanish coach, the 2026 Ballon d’Or should be won by one of his PSG players following the club’s success during the past season.
“I don’t care who wins the Ballon d’Or. But in my opinion, it should be a PSG player,” the Spanish coach initially said.
“We have everything. We have players who have won the Champions League. We have Fabián Ruiz, who won the World Cup. Ousmane Dembélé, who won the Ballon d’Or last season.”
“That is my opinion. But I am not interested in individual awards,” the Spaniard concluded.
