Spanish football legend Andrés Iniesta believes Spain must work together as a team if they want to neutralize Lionel Messi in the FIFA World Cup final.
“I think it will take a collective effort to stop Leo. In the end, it only takes two moments to decide a match. Leo usually creates those opportunities in every game,” Iniesta said.
The former Barcelona midfielder emphasized that Spain’s focus should not be solely on the threat posed by Argentina, but also on making the most of the chances they create.
“We have to create opportunities and be clinical when they come, rather than focusing only on what Argentina can do to hurt Spain,” Iniesta added.
