Paris Saint-Germain has been ordered by a French court to pay €60 million to forward Kylian Mbappé for unpaid wages and bonuses from his time at the Parisian club.
Mbappé had initially demanded €263 million (£231.5 million) from his former club after the long-running contractual dispute was examined by the Paris labor court in November.
On the other hand, the European champions countersued the France captain, seeking €240 million (£211 million) in damages.
The 26-year-old Real Madrid forward claimed a nine-figure sum, which included €55 million (£46.3 million) in unpaid wages, as well as additional damages related to a contractual dispute and alleged unfair treatment by the club during the final period of his stay in Paris.
The court’s ruling brings an end to one of the most high-profile legal cases between a player and a club in European football.
