Nine goals in the French capital, Paris heads to Munich with a narrow advantage

One of the most spectacular matches in the history of the Champions League took place tonight at the “Parc des Princes” in Paris.

PSG hosted Bayern Munich in the first leg of this season’s Champions League semi-final.

This thrilling encounter produced nine goals, with PSG winning 5–4.

The match started better for Bayern, who took the lead in the 17th minute through Harry Kane, scoring from the penalty spot to make it 1–0.

Seven minutes later, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia equalized at 1–1 with a beautiful low strike into Manuel Neuer’s left corner.

It didn’t take long for Paris to take the lead, as João Neves scored in the 33rd minute with a header, despite being one of the shortest players on the pitch.

However, Bayern did not give up, and Michael Olise made it 2–2 in the 42nd minute.

As the first half was nearing its end, Ousmane Dembélé won a penalty after his shot struck the hand of Alphonso Davies.

Dembélé converted the penalty, and the two teams went into the break with the score at 3–2 in favor of the hosts.

At the start of the second half, Paris shocked Bayern with two quick goals from Kvaratskhelia (56’) and Dembélé (59’).

Nevertheless, the Germans, just like in the first half, refused to surrender and pushed forward.

First, Dayot Upamecano scored to make it 5–3 in the 65th minute, and three minutes later, Luis Díaz added another to bring it to 5–4.

No more goals were scored until the end, and the final result remained 5–4.

The return leg between these two teams will be played next Wednesday in Munich, on May 6.
