Real Madrid have taken strong disciplinary action against defender Raul Asencio, despite his recent return to the squad following legal issues that have damaged the club’s reputation.
As soon as Asencio recovered from his injury, José Mourinho included him in the squad for Saturday’s match against Rayo Vallecano. It was his first call-up of the season, opening the door for a return to action.

According to the Spanish website “Defensa Central,” Real Madrid have fined the player a substantial amount, which will be deducted from his salary over the coming months.
“Asencio has already received the financial fine from Real Madrid following the disciplinary proceedings opened against him,” the Spanish website confirmed.
“The amount is close to €100,000,” it added.
The report revealed that Real Madrid’s officials did not take into consideration only the player’s traffic violation.
Their main concern was the significant damage caused to the club’s reputation.
The timing of the incident also contributed to the severity of the punishment.
Asencio was caught driving his car in the middle of the night, behavior that the club considered irresponsible for a professional footballer.
With this decision, Real Madrid have sent the Spanish defender a clear double message.
Mourinho has given him a quick opportunity to return and prove himself.
However, it has been made clear within the club that no action that damages its image will be tolerated, even when it involves one of its own players.
Asencio must now focus and fight to regain his place in the team.
