Jose Mourinho Rules Out January Transfers: “I’m Happy with the Squad”

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has ruled out the possibility of new signings during the January transfer window, insisting that he is satisfied with his current squad.

Los Blancos strengthened their squad across all areas of the pitch with a series of impressive summer investments, signing players such as Yan Diomande, Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konate, Carlos Espi, Denzel Dumfries, Bernardo Silva and Sergio Martinez.

However, their results have been inconsistent at the start of the La Liga season, leading to criticism of both the team and Mourinho on several occasions.

Despite the mixed performances, Mourinho has ruled out the possibility of strengthening his squad in January, reiterating that he is happy with the players at his disposal.

“The winter transfer window? I’m not looking for new signings. I’m happy,” the Portuguese manager said.

“The players are improving, especially when we have time and peace of mind. My job is to help them develop. I’m not the type of manager who goes looking for players. I prefer to work with a small squad.

“If the board considers something, we will assess it, but I’m not taking the initiative to look for players. I don’t want any new players,” Mourinho concluded.
