Vinícius Júnior could be on his way to the Premier League this summer, following reports about the latest developments regarding his future.
The Real Madrid star has long been in talks to renew his contract with the club, but no final agreement has been reached yet.
His current contract expires in 2027, but due to the lack of progress in negotiations, it is reported that Manchester United is among the clubs looking to take advantage of this situation, preparing a major move for the Brazilian.
According to TEAMTalk, representatives of Vinícius Jr have contacted Manchester United, as well as Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool regarding a possible transfer for the 25-year-old this summer.
Additionally, his intermediaries have also contacted European giants such as Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, who could financially afford such a transfer, while Vinícius is expected to demand a very high salary of around €580,000 per week.
Although Vinícius is not determined to leave the 15-time European champions, he is keeping all options open regarding his future.
Kylian Mbappé is currently the highest-paid player at Real Madrid following his free transfer in 2024, but Vinícius’ camp is reportedly seeking a higher salary for a contract renewal.
In November, The Athletic reported that Real Madrid had offered a contract worth €20.3 million per year during talks at the end of last season, increasing his annual salary by just under €2.3 million.
However, the player’s side was not satisfied with this offer, and when the club asked them to propose a figure, they reportedly requested around €30.2 million per year.
Such a contract would represent the most expensive deal in Real Madrid’s history, on the same level as what five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo earned in his final season before his move to Juventus.
