Barcelona are getting closer and closer to winning the La Liga title, after increasing their lead over Real Madrid.
The Catalan side currently hold an 11-point advantage at the top of the table, putting them in a very comfortable position with only a few matches remaining until the end of the season.
According to reports, the title could be decided as early as next Sunday. If Barcelona win away against CA Osasuna, while Real Madrid fail to win against RCD Espanyol, then the gap would become mathematically uncatchable.
In such a scenario, Barcelona would be 13 or 14 points ahead with only 12 points left to play for, which would officially crown them champions.
However, Hansi Flick’s team has other paths to secure the title as well, including the possibility that even a draw in El Clásico could be enough, if the current gap is maintained.
On the other hand, Real Madrid are running out of room for error and must win to keep their hopes alive—however small—of getting back into the title race.
