Barcelona are keeping Lautaro Martinez on their radar as an alternative option for their attack, should their attempt to sign Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid fail.
According to Calciomercato.com, Barcelona sporting director Deco has held a meeting with Alejandro Camano, the agent of Inter captain Lautaro Martinez. The contact was intended to assess the Argentine striker’s situation and the potential conditions of a possible deal, reports Klankosova.tv.
However, at the moment, there is no concrete negotiation with Inter, and Barcelona have not submitted any official offer for Lautaro. It is simply an initial inquiry into the possibility of a future transfer.
In Milan, meanwhile, the position is clear: Inter do not want to part ways with their captain and main leader. Lautaro has a contract with the Nerazzurri until 2029, and his departure would represent a major blow both from a sporting perspective and in terms of leadership.
