Ronaldinho has arrived in Italy and will take part in a number of promotional events with Serie C side Ravenna, for whom the Brazilian legend has signed a contract at the age of 46.
Earlier this summer, it was confirmed that former Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldinho had signed for Serie C club Ravenna at the age of 46.
The former Barcelona, PSG and AC Milan star has taken part in the club’s pre-season training camp, but he will be present for the team’s official presentation ahead of the 2026/27 season on Friday, August 21.
Ravenna owner Ignazio Cipriani has insisted that Ronaldinho was not brought to the club solely for promotional and commercial reasons, but that he is expected to play in at least one match in Italy’s third tier.
“He will be there for the team presentation on August 21,” Cipriani confirmed in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport in June.
“He will not come to the training camp, but he will definitely take part in at least one league match, perhaps even several. We will see. We still don’t know when he will take the field in the league; it will depend on several factors. It will definitely be a home match.”
“His goal is to score his final goal wearing the Ravenna shirt,” the Ravenna owner concluded.
Meanwhile, Ronaldinho was seen today, Thursday, getting off his private plane in Italy and is expected to meet his Ravenna teammates on Friday.
