Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has praised his team’s level of maturity in quickly shifting their focus to the match against Racing Santander following their El Clasico victory, stressing their ambition to win more trophies this season.
Mourinho praised the character of his team, which has been improving from one match to the next, once again making it clear that their main objective is to win trophies.
“Ever since we started, I have always seen the same thing. The joy of winning or not winning changes, but the essence remains the same: a very good balance,” Mourinho initially said.
“We are not a team with a lot of experience, but I see maturity within the team. Calmness, they know how to wait. There was happiness after the victory. Then, normality. Seriousness and hard work.”
“I am happy to see that maturity. The aim is to win trophies, not just one match against Barcelona.”
“We are playing well. We are facing a team that collects a lot of points at home, and at a time we are not used to playing. This is very important following last week’s victory. We must respect Racing,” the Portuguese manager concluded, speaking about tomorrow’s match.
