Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has once again spoken about the race for the 2026 Ballon d’Or, making it clear that he wants to win the prestigious award and bring it back to Madrid.
The French forward believes this could be the right year for him to triumph, while emphasizing that his performances on the pitch are his strongest argument in his favour.
“I think this is a good year to win it. My best advocate is my feet. No matter how much I can talk, the most important thing for me is for the Ballon d’Or to return to Real Madrid.”
“It should return to the Bernabéu, to the Madrid fans, to bring joy to all these people once again. They deserve it more than anyone else,” Mbappé said.
The Frenchman was also asked about his rival in the Ballon d’Or race, Barcelona star Lamine Yamal.
Mbappé showed respect for the 19-year-old’s talent, predicting a bright future for him.
“He is a very talented player and I have the feeling that he will have a great career. I wish him all the best,” Mbappé said of the Barcelona star.
