Roma continue to work on the transfer of English forward Mason Greenwood from Marseille.
The Italian club has decided to postpone negotiations for a few days, but contact between the parties remains ongoing, and new meetings are expected very soon.
According to reports, the coming days will be crucial, as Roma and Marseille officials are expected to hold more serious discussions in an effort to reach an agreement.
The operation is not expected to be straightforward, as it involves a transfer that could reach a value of €50 million. Nevertheless, the Giallorossi are prepared to make a significant financial effort, as Greenwood is considered one of their main transfer targets.
A key role in this operation is also being played by head coach Gian Piero Gasperini, who has personally requested the Englishman and sees him as an ideal addition to Roma’s new project.
It now remains to be seen whether the upcoming meetings will lead to a final agreement and whether Greenwood will make the move to Serie A this summer.
