Galatasaray have made a combined offer of €40 million for two European football stars, Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli and Milan’s Rafael Leão, according to Turkish journalist Haluk Yurekli.
Martinelli has long been linked with a potential departure from Arsenal this summer, particularly if the Premier League champions decide to strengthen the left side of their attack.
The 25-year-old scored 11 goals and provided seven assists last season. He is under contract with Arsenal until 2027, while the London club also have an option to extend his deal for another year.
However, Arsenal previously indicated that they would demand around £60 million for the Brazilian, meaning Galatasaray’s reported €40 million offer is significantly below the Gunners’ valuation.
Arsenal are open to suitable offers for Martinelli, but they are expected to remain firm regarding their financial demands.
Meanwhile, Rafael Leão remains part of the Milan squad and has taken part in the team’s pre-season preparations, despite expressing his desire for a “new challenge” back in June.
The Portugal international also admitted that he would be “very happy” if a Premier League club showed interest in signing him.
However, for now, Galatasaray appear to be the only club to have made a concrete move for Leão. It remains to be seen whether the Turkish champions can convince the Portuguese star to move to Istanbul this summer.
