Jorge Jesus faced a tense situation at Porto Airport, where a fan verbally confronted him, forcing police to intervene and calm the situation.
The incident took place on Friday as the Portugal national team returned to Porto ahead of their next UEFA Nations League match.
According to reports from A Bola and ANSA, the fan directed a series of insults at Jesus, including: “You’re not even worth one of Cristiano Ronaldo’s toenails.”
The fan also accused Jesus of having an inflated ego and defended Cristiano Ronaldo, while the situation eventually forced police officers to intervene.
The incident comes at a tense time in the relationship between Jesus and Ronaldo. The Al-Nassr forward left the Portugal camp on September 30 following a situation involving him and the national team coach.
Jorge Jesus, 71, is the head coach of the Portugal national team. He was appointed to the position in July this year, replacing Roberto Martínez, and has a contract until 2030.
In their latest match, Portugal defeated Norway 2-1, with Ronaldo remaining on the bench and not making an appearance.
